This Privacy Policy describes how ConverterHub ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and discloses information when you use our mobile application ConverterHub - File & Tools (the "App") and our website converterhub.com.ng (the "Website").

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Files You Choose to Convert

When you use a conversion tool (PDF to Word, Image Compressor, QR Code Generator, etc.), the App may request access to your device's files or media so you can select a file to convert. We do not access, view, or collect your files without your direct action of selecting them through the file picker. Processing happens either locally on your device or is sent securely to our servers solely to perform the conversion you requested, and is not retained beyond what is necessary to complete that task.

1.2 Automatically Collected Information

Like most apps, we and our third-party service providers (see Section 3) may automatically collect:

• Device information (device model, operating system version)
• App usage data (features used, session duration, crash reports)
• Approximate location (derived from IP address, not precise GPS)
• Advertising identifiers (such as the Google Advertising ID)

1.3 Information You Provide Directly

If you contact us for support or feedback, we collect the information you provide, such as your email address and the content of your message.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the App's conversion tools
• Display advertisements through Google AdMob
• Understand how the App is used so we can improve it
• Diagnose and fix technical problems

3. Third-Party Services

3.1 Google AdMob

3.2 Google Play Services

The App relies on Google Play Services for core Android functionality, which has its own data collection practices governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

4. File Access and Storage Permissions

The App requests permission to access your device's photos, media, and files solely to allow you to select a file for conversion (for example, choosing a PDF or image to upload into a tool). The App does not browse, collect, or transmit any files other than the one you explicitly select for a conversion task.

5. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

6. Data Retention

Files submitted for conversion are processed and, where applicable, deleted from our servers shortly after the conversion is complete. We do not use your converted files for any purpose other than fulfilling your request.

7. Your Choices

• You can disable file/media access permissions at any time through your device's app settings, though this will limit the App's ability to perform file conversions.
• You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device's ad settings (Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization on Android).
• You can request deletion of any personal information you've provided to us by contacting us using the details below.

8. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information we collect, including the use of secure connections (HTTPS) for data transmitted between the App and our servers. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
